The last time I tried to tally how many books I've read was about 2 years ago, and I was well over a thousand books.
So how is it that my "bookshelf" is that sad (in numbers)?
Since I live in a condo I read eBooks instead.
As much as I would L O V E to have a wall to wall room with all of my favorites, I can't handle the overwhelming look of clutter bookshelves sometimes display. (How dare I say it, I know!)
But let me be honest, the upkeep in dusting, re-organizing and/or artfully arranging, is driving me insane thinking about it. I'm lazy and not creative in the home decor arena. Not to forget to mention, it would look like an episode of Hoarders. (Though it may be a badge of honor to most bibliophiles!)
I strive for a "minimalist" and modern look at home. (Probably because I'm lazy and don't want to be cleaning all day- so it's methodical if you think about it!)
So, only the best series ever gets prime real estate in my home, and the Grimm's brothers Fairytales was a gift from my dad. (And the cover is cool.) And then when I publish my novels, maybe I'll display my own. Maybe ;) Probably just the first one....
My latest reads (on my eReader!) have been from Penny Reid. Her wittiness and comedic characters have me in a serious author binge. How had I not discovered her before?! I'm truly enjoying her intelligent romances!
