It doesn’t mean I’m turning away from them; I’m just sickened by these acts.
I own a dog (an Italian Greyhound) and adore him to the moon and back (Pics of my little guy Enzo are posted below). He’s ridiculously spoiled to the point he’s rotten (in the sweetest of ways though)! But it’s the reason I got him. So I can dote on him. If that was not what I wanted to do, I wouldn’t have considered a pet.
I can’t fathom hurting him; it honestly pains me to think of him as anything other than the happy little dog he is.
Looking at his kind and trusting eyes, and causing him any harm… I don’t have the heart.
I wish I could foster some of these animals, but unfortunately I live in a condo with strict pet restrictions.
But what I can do though, is spread the word about Hope for Paws- Animal Rescue’s Non-profit organization.
They’re doing an exceptional job of rescuing, rehabilitating and finding loving, permanent homes for these sweet animals. Their recoveries are inspiring, and the determination the organization has in rescuing these dogs are not just something to admire, but to marvel.
If you can spare a few bucks, consider giving it to Hope for Paws. It’s the least we can do here on our own turf and to make sure we don’t let the heartless, soulless, and depraved here in our own country get away with it.
